UK VAT payments

Hi,

As from 1. January 2021 Amazon collects and pay UK VAT to HMRC - where can I find informations on the amount of VAT collected by Amazon from our Customers in the period, Q1 2021 and where can I find information on the amount transferred by Amazon to HMRC for the period Q1, 2021 ?

If you are a UK business or storing stock in the UK for delivery to the UK then Amazon has not collected the VAT on these orders - you have (assuming you are VAT registered).

So, assuming all your products are vatable, then you just need the total of all sales (inc postage) and then the vat due is Total - (Total/1.2) you will need pay yourself to HMRC.

If you are NOT a UK business, or storing stock in the UK then you have no need to know what VAT Amazon has paid as it is irrelevant. That is Amazon responsibility.
