Signed books being delisted for pricing issues
I have recently had a lot of “Signed” books delisted for pricing issue.
Amazon doesn’t seem to take into account the value of a signature on a book.
I have had bog standard replies that do not answer my question, just referring me to the parameters Amazon bots use.
Some of these books are signed by authors, or inscribed to a famous person or a famous person has signed them.
Do I just have to accept that I cannot list these on Amazon or is there a solution.

The obvious question would be, How are you actually listing them?
Are you just listing as used etc, with condition notes or are you listing them as collectible?

Of course you can list them. For them not to be deactivated for ‘potential high pricing’ you need to list as ‘Collectible’.
No they don’t, but that is why you have to list as collectible.
I have had vintage Ladybird books delisted because I am not selling them for 15p !!
It is a waste of time asking SS as they do not understand, and especially about books

We had a book delisted this week. £39.95 and in as-new condition. As usual we provided our own bespoke description and our own photograph. We didn’t list as ‘collectible’ becaue it wasn’t, just a very nice copy. When we listed it the only other copies were being sold by price-gougers starting at £79.95. Our copy was delisted for being too expensive! We haven’t bothered fighting these things for a long time. Amazon is still a valuable platform for us but it hasn’t been our best outlet for years, so, if they don’t want to sell a particular book at the price we require we remove it, knowing it will sell elsewhere.

Amazon care very little about small sellers. They clearly do not understand books and pricing of collectable books. They have rules that are not applied consistently across the board to all sellers. plus the postage they give ixs inadequate and the % they take is too high.

Amazon are clueless about things like signed copies/special editions. My suggest and what I do is use abe books (which is also owned by Amazon but allows some freedom of listings)

We give up with Amazon - if they don’t want the commission from the sale of our books then it’s up to them. We send all our books up to them - some they accept, some they reject. They are the only ones missing out by rejecting - if a customer really wants a book then they will hunt far and wide and may not in the end buy it via Amazon.

I’m not sure what you mean by that. Are you talking about FBA ?
