Images have been changed!
Hello there
Please can someone help! I have been selling a product for about 9 months and it’s been doing fairly well. This morning I woke up to find that all the images have been changed. When I log in and try and change the images back, I’m unable to delete the new images. My original ones are not showing.
The description hasn’t been changed. Has someone taken over my listing? Or is this something Amazon has done?
Thanks for any help

I suspect this is a technical glitch or something that Amazon has done as you say. I have similar experience -image been changed all of a sudden. Can’t update and Seller Support not helping. I read from another thread another seller was having the same problem.

Is it a listing of your own brand? Brand Registry will help to revert this.
Is it a listing of some other’s brand? You can try to submit a picture of the item with the barcode showing and argue the case for changing back. This will be hit or miss in my experience, but good luck.

Try posting your ASIN here? I’d want to see if it’s some other seller messing with your listing or it is a glitch?

I’m waiting for a reply from Amazon, how long do they normally take?

it appears to be easier for fraudsters to change images than genuine sellers to get the correct ones put back

Same happened to my 15 listings, 1 listing was fixed after I opened 20 different cases for it. Now fighting to fix the next listings, called them today asweel and will call again. It takes a lot of time and energy to deal with robots who keep only replying to you with one same copy pasted answer. But, I think it is possible to win by keeping opening cases and calling them until the aim is achieved. The copy pasted answer I keep receiving:
''Before we can process your request, we need you to provide one of these valid forms of documentation:
- Manufacturer’s or Publisher’s (for books) website link clearly showing the suggested changes, along with visible product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.), if available.
- Manufacturer’s catalog (Product User Manual), either scanned image of the physical catalog or PDF version showing the suggested changes, along with visible product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.), if available.
- High-resolution product pictures, clearly showing the suggested changes, along with a visible product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.).
- A high-resolution photo of the item in its original packaging showing the product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.) code and the attribute or attributes that you need to change
We look forward to hearing from you.’’

So a bit of an update in case anyone else has this.
I contacted support and heard nothing back for three days
Next, I deleted my original images and soon after got an email to say the listing had been suspended because I violated the rule on images…there were none on my listing, even though it still had the images from another listing on it!
Today, the other images have been removed and even though I have uploaded the original images, the listing is still suspended. It seems there are problems on Amazon at the moment when trying to update listings, so I guess it’s a system problem

Hi I get this a lot also had 5 today, Amazon in their infinate wisdom now let any seller who lists against an asin change the product images … even if it’s not of the actual product. When you complain usually I get the responce that they are better images … and thus the merry go round starts. It’s then down to you to proof they aren’t the right images and not who changed them … God bless Amazon …

I had this happen to me this year. On my best selling product as well. Managed to get SS to change them back after providing what they wanted.
Although I make this item myself and am the only seller to ever sell it on Amazon, I still had to prove to them that this was the case. Absolute joke.
Took 2 weeks to get the images back. Lots of revenue lost due to this.
