Unreasonable Refund Without Return from a-z

Amazon has recently issued full refunds to customers without requiring them to return the product. In the case of order 114-5650255-5945028, the customer received the item but was granted a full refund without any return, which I find unacceptable.

This product has been sold many times with consistent customer satisfaction, and the material used is clearly velvet, exactly as described. There is no way for the buyer to prove otherwise, especially when they already received the product. Customers can only verify the material after receiving the item, so this cannot be a valid reason for a refund without return.

Why is Amazon approving such refunds recently? This policy encourages abuse and is very unfair to sellers.

can accept refund onlyif customer return item.

When communicating with the customer, they initially lied about an issue with the product material, then pretended to ask how we would like to handle the situation — clearly with the intention of getting a refund.

During our conversation, we offered the option of a full refund upon return, but the customer wanted to avoid returning the item. Instead, they filed an A-to-Z claim directly, and Amazon approved it without any consideration of the seller’s position.

This kind of action allows customers to receive a full refund without returning the product, which is clearly unfair and encourages dishonest behavior. Amazon is failing to provide a relatively fair and balanced shopping platform for both buyers and sellers.
