Hi All
I am getting this error message when trying to list new products.
We have identified potential matches for the product you are trying to list in the Amazon Catalogue. Please review our ASIN creation policy at: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/201844590. If your product is not listed in the Amazon catalogue and needs to be listed with a new ASIN, please contact Seller Support at https://sellercentral.amazon.com/hz/contact-us and mention error code 5461.No ASIN is suggested and I cannot find the product listed. I am going round in circles with Seller Support. I am an established seller I am continually listing new products and not had anything like this before. Anyone got any idea what might be going on?
Hi
May I ask first, the EAN that you are using, is that already on the product or have you purchased it from GS1.
i have had a very similar problem recently, with that same message but the only difference being that my message actually quoted a specific ASIN
Hi it could be a number of things or 5461…
Most likely one is if its your own brand your script or title is to much of a close match to an existing which it has to be completely different.
If its wholesale and its not a new line its likely the EAN has been used previous and made dormant.
There are a number of other possibilities but first check above - if its wholesale check each country for the EAN and title
Have you resolved this, would like to try and help
No still not resolved, Waiting for a response from seller support. They wanted to know details of a specific product, UPC, Title, photo etc… however it is any product I try to list from one particular supplier.
Thank you for all the info. Today I have received an email from SS to say
We have received and update from the internal team stating that your account is approved for brand …
I will go back to them to TRY to find out what caused the issue in the first place. Obviously this is an intervention by Amazon so not related to GSI. Its very concerning at this time of year I don’t have time to lose 5 days of work listing my xmas lines. As I’ve already said I have been selling / listing products on Amazon for over 10 years. I have always sold this brand and I am one of the sellers that lists a lot of their stuff. This sort of issue could have an enormous impact on xmas sales, not just mine. My account, metrics, feedback etc is all in good order so its nothing to do with my account, or not that I am aware of. Very Frustrating! But at least it appears to be resolved.
I appreciate all your help.
Hi,
Thanks for your posts.
@Ginger_Interiors the error is linked to the brand you are trying to list. There would be a restriction within the Amazon system which will prevent you from listing the products until an approval has been processed.
There is no way for you to manually resolve this issue without contacting us. It is and will be necessary for you to contact seller support directly through your account if you receive the error code 5416. You will be asked for specific information and this will then be reviewed by another team who will determine if you can list the products. As with this case, once approval has been granted you will be able to list the items.
Unfortunately, we do not have a list of brands that have this restriction and you will not know if products are restricted until you attempt to list them.
Thanks,
Jessica
