New to Amazon not able to add a product
Hi, I have selected ’ I am selling an item not sold on Amazon’ after purchasing a plan from GS1 for EANs.
After selecting ‘add a product’ filling in all of the required details, I select ’ Save and finish ’ and nothing happens. I have raised a case and was advised to close down the application and try again after 15 minutes. I’ve been trying for two days.
Can anyone please help as my account has been open for 2 months and I haven’t even managed to list my first item.
Thanks in advance, Slim Synch

You must be getting some sort of error when finishing it.
If not, then it could simply be taking it’s own sweet time to actually update.
Though there is also the possibility, that you don’t have the ability to actually list in whichever category this is. What is the category?

Have a look in your drafts your product might need more information.

Hi @Slim_Synch Did you find a solution to this issue? I have exactly the same issue and every time I open a ticket with Amazon (with copious screenshots) they respond saying I should flush my cache and then they close the ticket. Tearing my hair out here.

@The_Little_Shop Thank you - that’s indeed news to me. When I signed up for the account I was told the difference was purely based on the perceived number of items I would sell. Must have missed some small print. Why does the system even let me attempt to add a new product if I have the wrong account type.
Anyway, thanks again.

@Dedez @JillyB1 I read texts and watched Amazon videos before signing up and didn’t anywhere see that caveat. It’s only now I’ve searched on a specific question that a page has turned up detailing those facts. Why couldn’t the SS have asked me that simple question when I opened the ticket?
I’m a sole trader who has started a small poetry press in the UK and wants to sell what will be a very small number of books monthly that I design and publish myself. Does this require a Professional account?

The system is so unbelievably opaque that it’s practically a scam. I tried using their Web Services setup once with similar results.
Thanks for the help, everyone!

Great - so after reading through many of these posts I am now wondering if the problem is with my account at all. My problem is the exact same one that all these people is having too.
