Read onlyWoke up this morning to a single product review policy violation for a product (old Xbox 360 console), an item I haven’t sold for probably 10 years or more! I have never in my life manipulated in any way customer reviews, either on this particular product or any other so am quite bemused at the info they’re expecting me to put into an appeal:
A Plan of Action should include:
A detailed description of all methods you used to post or obtain customer reviews that are prohibited by Amazon policies
Contact information (for example, name, email address, and website) for any third parties you engaged to manipulate reviews or obtain prohibited reviews.Identifying information for any customer accounts you or a third party used to post prohibited reviews.
List of any prohibited reviews remaining on the Amazon.site
Description of steps you have taken to prevent product review manipulation within your organization and how this will prevent future violations.
Confirmation that you have removed all inserts, flyers, vouchers, brochures or similar materials included inside the product packaging requesting a favourable review or offering incentives to post a review, including Removal Order ID.
How on earth can I even begin to address this issue for something I haven’t done and can give not a single answer to? Anyone been in this predicament and managed to resolve? Do I simply email Amazon to deny any culpability? Do I just leave it on my Account Health page and not respond at all? Some help on this would be much appreciated.
Hiya,
Im literally in the same position as you!
Unfortunately after speaking to our Amazon one to one support we have been informed you have to appeal in order for it to drop off.
Be prepared to write an Essay! If you have an idea of what the appear could be for in the first question you need to almost bullet point what you think Amazon think has happened if that make sense, make sure you bullet point this and include the phrase - We believe the root cause of this violation is due to the following
Second part , about the List of any prohibited reviews I am struggling with this part and this is what is keeping my appeal open because we didn't receive any prohibited reviews so I can't include a list ( I have told Amazon this but they keep asking for more info on this part )
Description of steps you have taken - We created a training document for our staff to read and sign and uploaded this , we also copied the Amazon Product review policy and almost said we will not perform any of the actions within the policy ( copy the policy into the appeal and re word to make it should like you won't do it ) You need to include wording such as actions taken and steps to prevent further issues.
Example : We will never post a review of our own product or a competitors product.
Honestly its such a silly process especially when you have not done anything , our Amazon support said yesterday "Unfortunately, the path forwards is to submit new information fulfilling their request" So seems like you need to convince Amazon of something you haven't done!
If you need a template Im happy to share what we have done as it seems to have worked we just need to work out how I get pass the list of reviews part.
Hope this helps a little!
We received the same message, appealed using the form for has your listing been deactivated in error. Instant reply from the bots below, emailed MD office and no reply.

We removed the product listing on which you had an active seller offer because we detected high levels of reviews abuse activity that violates our customer reviews policies.
Due to the level of abuse we detected on the listing, it has been permanently removed from the store. When we remove a listing, we must remove all associated seller offers.

Can any mods assist? Seems unfair that an unconnected seller has abused the listing but then all sellers who have sold the item receive the same violation
On Amazon you are guilty until you prove you are innocent (of what, you might not be told clearly).
Not of course in any way a monoplisric practice. Nothing to see here!
BTW the "template" mentioned might be useful, thanks.
Hello
Thank you for sharing the information, we are facing same issue, we have suddenly got a 3 product review policy violation and all three ASINs has been deleted permanently from Amazon catalogue, we were selling under this ASINs as a third party seller of branded products and there were numbers of sellers on these ASINs so do not know why Amazon has targeted all the sellers for policy violation , Amazon should only target seller who has violated the policy, I think there is an technical glitch, hope so Amazon will come with some more depth information for this issue soon.
This is probably a stupid question but did you have a closed or out of stock listing ?
I now remove all out of stock listings
It's so unfair to get into trouble for an item you last sold years ago
I can only suggest a lot of grovelling but I would be tempted to add a footnote of when you last sold the item
Good luck
