Last month we had the UK VAT establishment verification that everyone seems to be getting at the moment. We sent them all of the documentation and finally (having to provide everything multiple times) we passed and our account health is back to normal.
Ever since the audit, all of our orders have been marked as "Marketplace facilitator order (legislation: UK VAT on eCommerce): Amazon is collecting VAT on this transaction" and Amazon are withholding the VAT. Every time I create cases the answer is irrelevant and related to sellers who are outside the UK.
Has anyone else experienced this? How did they get it resolved?
Thanks
Your VAT is showing as being registered to Ruby House which is HMRC's default address for non-UK based companies.
That has been changed in the last few days.
Thanks ForumLurker, I'll get on the phone to HMRC now!
