Amazon now dictating selling price

Hi fellow sellers. I have had notification that a product I sell has been suspended because of a “potential high pricing error” . It is a high end clipper set from a leading brand. After many attempts at sorting this out it boils down to my last communication from SS which stated that in order to get the listing active again I have to price it somewhere between £4.74 to £7.49 !!!. The clippers cost me more than that and there is already the same clipper (different colour) on the site selling for £30.99 !! No matter what I do I cannot resolve the issue. Any ideas please?

We have this allot. We then sell on another site.

My time is not valuable than going round in circles.

There isn’t too much you can do. You can try challenging them to demonstrate that they may be pricing against the wrong item.

I have just had several books deactivated for ‘potential high pricing’ - am used to this as happens quite frequently in the book category.
However, the crazy thing with these ones is, for two of them there are no others available at all - and they are now showing as ‘Currently unavailable’ because I was the only seller !, and I created the listings several years ago.
They are scarce, and one of them I can find no other copy anywhere on the net - that is why my price is high - well £35.00 - is that high for a book I can find nowhere else ?!
This ‘potential’ high pricing really annoys me - rather than totally deactivating they should maybe just suggest we review our price.

I think from looking at it they are making everybody sell at r.r.p or below. Anything over and it’s a policy violation.

looks like quite a few listings without offers since the Fair Pricing cull. I wonder if they are pushing them to ABE?

I have had40+ books delisted this evening so far and still going mainly higher priced Scarce items, for the majority I was the only listing, but others people are selling way below the normal price often Library copies of compared to my very good, I even have a couple where my listing is closed but other sellers remain with higher priced items,
I literally paid more (frequently on Amazon) than they want me to sell for.
Is this not price fixing ?

I’ve not had one of these high price alerts so far. Maybe it’s because I’m currently ‘on holiday’?

I remember the last time I came off holiday settings, I had a load of these.
Anyone getting these while holiday mode is on?

Woke up to another 16 this morning ! - and for two of them my price is only £3.95 and £3.75 - how can they say that is high pricing ?! :rage:
