Need to Remove Brand from Product Details
Hello,
How to remove a brand from Product Details? We have to remove or change it due to a settlement agreement and Amazon support is not helping at all.
Background:
We used IP Accelerator and filed a trademark in Nov 2023. We then had access to A+ contents, storefront, and Brand Story. All good, we were making sales and accumulating reviews. August 2024, we received notice that one of our trademark words is too close to another big company's name. We didn't want to go into opposition so we chose to go into a settlement agreement and abandoned the trademark application. February 2025, this application was abandoned. We informed Amazon of the abandoned application and they have updated the status.
We started a new trademark application with the same IP Accelerator. We were able to change everything on our product information to the new name, except the Brand name. We started a case to link our ASIN to the new brand and it was approved.
The last issue remain, our product details under 'Brand Name' still says the old brand and we cannot change it or at least remove it. The byline under our product still shows the old brand and we have to change it.
Amazon support keeps referring us to brand name policies without trying to assist. They just keep saying we have to start a new listing with new ASIN. Is this really the only way?
Any suggestions?

I believe they are correct in that you need to create a new listing with a new ASIN.

Hi there @Seller_5tnFDnQgrIRiT
I would love if you had any case ID's from you talking with support about this so I can see the specifics, but I agree with @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 here. If there is a new brand that's created, a new ASIN will be needed as well.
