Defects for lost Royal Mail Recorded Deliveries
I've been selling on Amazon for a few years now, without any issues, but the orders stopped over night. Looking into this I found we had picked up a defect for Royal Mail losing a Record Delivery, in which we've refunded the customer for.
How is this fair?

Did this defect affect your performance % badly?
there are changes over the last few days with how the buy-box is awarded
which may be the issue if the % was not so badly affected.
for the lost package - did you buy the shipping through amazon - if you did - you should be protected from the defect if you can show you despatched it on time.
