Question on 'Buy Shipping'
I currently use stamps (untracked due to value), and drop sack into local PO every day. If on the odd quieter day, I may pop into Post Box outside.
I can do this 7 days a week, usually just 6 (not Sunday!)
I can stamp up orders at 10pm at night, Sundays, and Bank Holidays.
If using ‘Buy Shipping’ instead of Stamps, can I carry on as usual with either using the Postal Sack or dropping in via Post Box?
There are mention of changing dates to actual Postage date if posting a day later? Does that matter with untracked - being that who knows what date it went in a Post Box?
I could understand with a tracked order, or when ‘manifests’ are printed, but I take with ‘Buy Shipping’ untracked order this would not apply?

If your using buy shipping for standard untracked mail, then you can simply drop it in a postbox etc.
If your using tracked though, then you really need to get the first scan at the post office.
It will also depend on if you have your RM account connected, in which case you would need to provide a manifest to the sorting office etc.
I wouldn’t worry too much about dropping off an untracked item a day later…

Hopefully though, if I read the replies correctly If I sell SKU ABC123 every other day the size and weight will be remembered from previous sales - and that’s without having to do any ‘back end’ updates.
I won’t ask yet what happens if someone buys 2, 3 or 4 etc of SKU ABC123!

You can set a standard template for dimensions when using Buy Shipping. On the orders page, if you click the yellow button to Buy Shipping for an item, on the page it takes you to is a link to set your ‘Buy Shipping preferences’. If you set that up, when you come to buy shipping subsequently or in bulk, that template will be there for you to use. You can have more than one template set up- I have one for parcels and one for large letters and select the appropriate one for each order.

I use amazons buy shipping for 2nd and 1st class letters untracked. its worth it just for the protection you get from negative feedback if something goes missing.

I’m trying to get my head around the Buy Shipping from Amazon and have two specific problems, (probably more to follow!). Most of what I sell goes as a second class letter, with the odd order going into a large letter. At the moment I have a Royal Mail account not linked to Amazon. Trying to buy shipping this morning, I am finding that there is no postage option for International, (usually Ireland), orders. Is that connected to the cyberattack or is Royal Mail International Standard not a valid postage method for international orders.
The second issue relates to one order. The only Royal Mail option is first class. I don’t offer postage options and can see nothing about this order that explains why it must go first class.
Can anyone help with these two issues please? Thanks.

I’ve started sending my large letters using amazons buy shipping the week I was previously using stamps, but when the shipping label is printed the order is automatically marked dispatched, and is marked as Royal Mail large letter 1st or 2nd class depending on what I’ve selected and the tracking ID is blank I’m assuming as it not a tracked method. I was wondering should the number above the 3d bar code be shown anywhere on the despatch page or does Amazon just record it. I know it’s not tracking but when I input this number on the Royal Mail tracking page it shows they’ve been delivered. I know buying my shipping on amazon is fine for my VTR but just wanted to check
