Are Amazon now expecting tracking on ALL orders?

Yesterday I sent an order using click & drop. Normally I mark them as despatched from within click & drop and it usually updates fairly quickly in Amazon. However, it seemed to be taking a bit of time to go through and as I was wanting a disbursement I decided to do it manually in Seller Central as well.

Unfortunately, there only seemed to be one option (print postage) the only other option (confirm delivery) was greyed out. After hunting arround I noticed a box for delivery method with the words ‘NULL’ so
I changed it to ‘2nd class’ and sure enough the grey out ‘confirm delivery’ button was now useable. (Thanks Amazon for making it clear what to do… )

After pressing the button I then get a message saying that I hadn’t uploaded and a valid tracking number and did I want to proceed. Of course there isn’t a valid tracking number it’s 2nd class…

Is click & drop despatch no longer going to work and are we going to have to go through this chararde every time… or was this just an April fools joke?
