Read onlyWhy is it that Amazon is constantly removing listings for brand violations and then refusing to accept the evidence because it does not match the brand in the listing. I have had over 200 listings removed for branded items because Amazon want a letter of authorisation from an entity that does not exist.
Every one of my Spiderman, Avengers, Hulk and other Marvel products have been removed because Amazon will only accept letters of authorisation from Spiderman, Avengers or Hulk, matching the brand in the listing, all of them are owned by Marvel and the approval comes from Marvel via the licensed manufacturer and then the licensed distributor and they will not accept it from anyone.
The listings cannot be amended as I did not create them and they will not allow new listings as they will not allow a Spiderman product to be listed as a Marvel brand and so it goes on.
I once had an account Manager and we compiled a 20 page document regarding this issue and pointed out the flaws in the system and it was ignored.
If a seller buys a branded item from a distributor, who bought it from a licensed manufacturer, who manufacturers under license from the brand owner, then the manufacturer or distributor should be able to issue the permission to list the brand and not the brand / license owner.
A seller who buys from a distributor who is the licensed distributor for a brand and gets the products from the manufacturer who has the license from the licensee should be able to sell the product with proof of the licence and images, but no, only the letter of authorisation from the brand in the listing will do and that is impossible to do.
Amazon are removing millions of products from the catalogue simply because they do not understand the chain that exits for licenses and brands.
Anyone got any ideas or have they had any success with this?
