GTIN from manufacturer or purchased from GS1?

Hi there, new to this and looking for some help please.

I have had a product manufactured, it will go directly from the factory in China to UK Amazon Warehouse. Should i be purchasing a new Barcode from GS1 and giving this to the manufacturer? Or should the manufacturer already apply their own barcode? Ive asked the manufacturer but with so many types of barcodes i’m unsure of what to ask for.

You want as much control as possible, so assuming you are doing some kind of branding get your own from GS1.

(not related to your question, but be careful about shipping direct)

And just to add, make sure your account is fully verified as a business account before shipping anything as well as ensuring all invoices are to amazon guidelines and check your fba restock limits and storage limit

Thanks for your help previously. I have my items for sale FBM. However i cant seem to win the buy box and so cant get any impressions on ads.
