Why are buyers allowed to defraud sellers?
Pretty straight forward issue, I sold a Wii game, buyer said it didn’t work, I said OK send it back for a full refund. They said they sent it but it never arrived with me so I assume got lost in the post.
Why then are they allowed to make a claim for item not arrived?
Why then when I appeal the claim and ask Amazon to view our correspondence which proves it did arrive, do they ignore that and force a refund for an item I am yet to have returned.
Ridiculous, you should not be able to make a false claim for item not received when your issue is that it doesn’t work.

If you have proof of delivery, and a refund has been made, then send the customer an LBA and demand either your goods back or payment for them by a specific date

It sounds like you shipped untracked. In such case, the buyers will often open an “Item not received” A-Z claim as this will guarantee them an instant and hassle-free refund.
Amazon will not accept any appeals just based on the buyer-seller messaging, unless you e-mail the Managing Director.
