Pallet lost at Amazon - diverted due to backlog at fulfillment centre
Hi,
I sent a pallet to Amazon which was showing as delivered by Palletonline on 22nd September.
It didn’t go into stock as quickly as normal and was still showing as in transit and so after 10 days I opened a case.
The Amazon rep told that my shipment was in Amazon’s warehouse but had not yet been processed yet due to a higher than normal level of seller shipments. They go on to say that “Some of our fulfillment centers are currently experiencing a backlog due to an increased number of shipments received. While we resolve this, we may store some of the stock at a secure location as we prepare to receive them at a fulfillment center.”.
So a month later I open another case to find out when this pallet will go into stock and now Amazon are saying that they never received it as it was never scanned at their fulfillment centre.
I contacted Palletonline who I shipped with and asked for the stamped BOL to prove it was delivered. Palletonline investigated this and provided me with an un-stamped BOL explaining that this pallet was diverted to an external Amazon warehouse and therefore was never checked in at a fulfillment centre.
So now Amazon are refusing to accept that they ever had the pallet and are requesting a stamped BOL to prove it was delivered, and Palletonline are telling me that they have done what Amazon asked and diverted this pallet to another Amazon storage centre which is why the BOL wasn’t stamped and that it is out of their hands.
Does anyone know how I should proceed with this? It is now over a month since my pallet was delivered and Amazon do not seem to know where it is.
Many thanks,
Damian
