Click & Drop Large Letter Tracking
Hi Guys,
We have just gone over to click and drop with RM.
Anyone know how we find the tracking numbers for the Large Letter items? We have tried to speak to the click & collect team at royalmail and have been passed from person to person and none of them know.
In fact the majority of them don’t even know how this click & drop works, which is worrying.
Can anyone using it please point me in the right direction?

Hi large letters are not tracked , they do have the 2d codes if you have a oba or you can send them signed for but this will only tell you when it has been delivered. Are you using pay as you go or a oba. I was contacted a short while ago about they were setting up tracking for large letters but have heard nothing since.the codes are in the manifest which can be acssesed via your dash board in mail sent. The long number on the lable is the 2D tracking number. You cannot interrogate the tracking on the public website. However if you have a RM business account and send over 1000 items of post or parcels a year you can ask your account manager to add the 24/28 option (free) and get delivery online reports for large letters and parcels but you still cant see the tracking path or have a signature. The cost per item is slightly more expensive as it automatically adds 20% for VAT and if you aren’t VAT registered you cant reclaim and also a small fuel surcharge.
However its still half the cost of RM tracked and signed and when customers are advised that the letter shows for that tracking number “delivered” and there is RM GPS to back it up if they still want to report it as INR we usually hear no more.
Ebay accept that as evidence of delivered and maybe Amazon will recognise it in due course.
