FBA can be a great tool to simplify the management of your inventory and reach Prime Customers. However there are times where you might not have inventory in the Fulfillment Center unexpectedly, such as a sudden high velocity of sales. One of the best ways you can ensure your product is always available is to have both a Fulfillment by Amazon offer as well as a Fulfilled by Merchant offer. As a seller, you are actually to have both live at the same time!
All that you need to do is to create two separate offers with the same ASIN but different SKUs, one Merchant Fulfilled and one Amazon Fulfilled. Sellers are permitted two have two active offers at the same time for a product as long as they are fulfilled different.
By having both options available you give yourself greater flexibility and more options for your buyers based on their needs. Be sure to never have an “Out of Stock” moment by ensuring that you always have an active offer!
