Convert to Manufacturer Barcodes?

We design, print and sell posters.

We are the only people who sell our products on Amazon, though we don’t yet have brand registry.

We sell identical products on both EU & US marketplaces.

Each product has 2 FNSKU barcodes – 1 for the EU marketplace & 1 for the US marketplace.

It would save us a lot of time and money if we could use 1 barcode for both marketplaces.

Whenever I create FBA shipments (in either marketplace) it tells me that "this SKU is eligible for tracking by Manufacturer barcode”.

I’ve read up on how to convert a listing to use my own barcodes and am comfortable I know how to do this.

My question is:

Is it permissible to send FBA stock to Amazon warehouses with just a Manufacturers Barcode on the packaging, without Amazon then applying FNSKU labels to each pack once the stock arrives?

Yes. You just need to convert the listing to do so.
You have to do it before you send the next shipment.
It just won’t ask you for labels.
Do bear in mind, that is what is called commingled inventory, so if anyone else is selling the same product, the customer could get the item from their stock instead.
Obviously it’s immaterial if there is nobody else selling said item.
