Is there no way to fix listings when the brand is absent from the platform?!?
I'm hoping a MOD or somone might have some sort of correct phrase or keywords that might get the useless Seller Support to take actions to fix listings with incorrect information on them.
I sell squishmallows toys and there are just tonnes of listings that have been set up [Moderator Edit: removed inappropriate commentary] with the wrong info, and once its been made I'm told by seller support that there is no way to fix them - aside from getting on the phone to the brand (who they wont even say who has the rights anyway). But its not like us mere mortals can just phone Jazwares (kellytoy?) or whoever holds the rights.
The brand have zero active presence ont he platform, as they sell directly to Amazon. You would think this makes Amazon able to correct listings, since they are clearly an approved retailer... Heres a bunch that are listed as PS5 games;
B0CMGMT2HP
B0CMGP8QWT
B0CMGQ7GJ3
B0CMGTJ43T
B0CMGP51VF
B0CMGTYCNG
B0CMGMRGLX
B0CMH197QW
And geres a multi variation listing where the pictures and the products dont match up and the eans take me to wrong items...EAN 191726467403 for Garden Party Squad
At the very least, they should have a record of who created the ASINs, so they could ban them from messing up the catalogue...[Moderator Edit: removed inappropriate commentary]

Oh yeah, then theres Squishmallows Leland the fish, which I couldnt search for on the Amazon site... its EAN does bring up the product though - apparently its a PS5 console.... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CG7GCBXR
This is a popular product and should be getting sold by the hundreds, even by Amazon at this point in its production cycle, but the listing is a mess, so its not doing great

I see lots of sellers having this issue, where the brand isn't present. However, even when the brand is present, it often isn't easy getting listings fixed.
As a brand, we find that we have trouble updating/fixing our branded listings. When a file upload set to "Full Update" doesn't work (which happens too often), we then have to fight "support" on getting them fixed. They often claim that the listing has correct detail and that we, the brand are incorrect. Yeah, that's a facepalm moment right there.
For some brands, getting listings fixed is more trouble than it is worth, as sometimes it can take weeks of fighting with support to get things fixed.
Amazon makes it needlessly painful to get things corrected on the platform.

All I can say is I have the same problem.
I sell Character Clothing and getting anything that is incorrect fixed is nearly impossible.
If for whatever reason the listing then becomes suppressed then if I don't have brand approval to create/update ASIN's I have to apply for it. This must be the most tedious thing to do, you get so many requests for duplicate information and then denied for the silliest of reasons and have to appeal multiple times to get approval.
I can't offer you much of an answer to how to fix it but it is an issue which Amazon need to look at. All I can do is understand how hard you are finding it to get things fixed.

Hi @Seller_EkGoiphKgUnUI,
Hope you're doing well!
Could you please share the case ID you raised with Seller Support regarding this issue?
The issue is related to the incorrect product category/browse node for all these ASINs, correct?
Best regards, Ezra

I can tell you how we think they got corrupted and by whom
Amazon operate a number of "stealth" selling profiles that pickup fba product from sellers often from a different marketplace and offer them on Amazon UK under their selling profile Amazon EU
But what the selling profile does is takes the product details from the source market place - places them into Vendor Central - product data is then imported into amazon uk and as the product data has come from Vendor Central it is deemed as being from the brand owner (or at least with their consent).
Due to a mixup in categories/browse nodes being lost in translation or maybe just incorrect on the source marketplace the uk listings are dumped into random categories - (one month it was Playstation 5 consoles, one month it was Baby Monitors, another month it was PC Games)
the errant Amazon EU selling profile then overwrites the title (often into French or at least a robot translation of sorts)
bullet points - these seem to be random and often
Easy to use
Good product for use
Good performance
Good quality
the sort of bullets we would get a health warning if we tried to use.
description - often overwritten with the title again.
launch date - often set to Jan 01 2023
weight often set to 454g and sometimes displays in imperial (eg 1lb)
We have found that sometimes the corruption is incomplete - and just the browse nodes get 1/2 corrupted - where the original browse node is on the product information screens we can see from edit-offer but the browse nodes on the live asin are either PC Games, PS5 Consoles, or just blank.
Now it gets messy - seller support normally wont help and if they do offer to help they say they have fixed it, and to wait 24 - 48 - 72 hours etc and the page does not update. Because we think the rogue data from Vendor Central is deemed "more correct".
On a few we have had the leadership team involved in - they have often had the same issue in fixing.
And once fixed they often get corrupted 1 - 2 months later.
