Ebay supports sellers during the Canadapost strike
Why doesn't Amazon support their sellers in a similar manner?
I just had an AZ claim granted because the package, which shipped before the strike, is delayed because of it.
Ebay understands this dilemma and supports their sellers. Here is the message which went out today. Hope Amazon.ca follows suit.
"To support you and your business, eBay is implementing automatic protections for the next seller standards evaluation. These include:
Late Shipment Rate (LSR) defects
Tracking uploaded and validated rate
Negative or neutral feedback if tracking was uploaded and validated by the carrier
Out of Stock cancellations
Additionally, all Item Not Received (INR) claims are now on hold, and the Estimated Delivery Dates (EDDs) for all shipments with Canada Post have been extended. These measures will ensure deliveries have enough time to be completed during the strike and will remain in effect until Canada Post resumes regular operations.

Because most of Amazon is controlled by bots. Late shipments activate bots. Amazon is too lazy to reprogram their bots for a situation like this. It's unfortunate they don't just have some one assigned to handling issues like this.
