Seller Fees invoice missing seller VAT number for validated by Amazon valid EU VAT
Maybe someone can help me with this issue - got first Amazon “invoice” for April month (need to do bookkeeping last day today for April)
I am newly registered seller, it took literally more than 2 weeks after sending daily (a few times daily new proofs, I am valid business). Validation of valid EU VAT number went fine as first thing. I get it it has to be checked.
How on Earth I got an invoice from Amazon without my EU VAT number - it basically is useless, not a valid invoice (I’m located in Poland). 25GBP for professional seller account (I have not started selling anything yet).
Any suggestions? I have not even checked if it is correct, assumed they do everything with so much attention to details - how after 2 weeks of validating my company from every side possible Amazon makes such a thing and sends invoice without VAT number?
What can be done with it?
Where to even find some contact form - it is close to impossible to find anything on Amazon website. By design I guess.
Best regards

If you have supplied your VAT number then VAT will not be charged if valid. We do reverse charge in UK on such fees, so check what ypu need to do on your return.
In the UK, far as I know, the buyer VAT is not required on the invoice only the seller.

Supplier VAT numer is there on the invoice (Supplier VAT number: LU19647148) and additionally in footer with smaller case letters with following:
Amazon Services Europe S.à r.l., 38 avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855, Luxembourg R.C.S. Luxembourg: B 93815; Business license number: 100416 VAT number LU19647148

At least they validated yours. I’ve been VAT registered for 2 years now, and Amazon reckons I’m not, even showing them the EORI number on EU headed email didn’t work, yet I still get seller statements with VAT shown separately. Bizarre…

Well for me not the case (as I have described above).
I have created an account as Sole Proprietor (there is same company type in Poland). Later I saw some hint that if you are not from UK use different you should have register as Business - I have noticed that after account was already created, not sure if it was shown there before, could be, could be not. Maybe Amazon has “hardcoded” invoices for Sole Proprietor that it always gets VAT rate 23% (after writing that checked and UK has 20% VAT, and 23% is Poland regular VAT rate, and it still does not make any sense since invoice Supplier is Luxemburg based…
Have any of you received reverse charge VAT 0% for “professional account”? (I need it because of API access)

And for me even 23% VAT added is not even biggest problem, which is missing totally Tax Payer Number (without which it cannot be used as invoice in Poland, government requirement here).

How hard could it be for Amazon to use VIES to check if valid/invalid
