What is the difference between a bank letter and bank statement?

Hello,

We are having issues getting our account verified. We gave Amazon a bank statement but they are now asking for a bank letter does anyone know what the difference is and how we get a bank letter?

Regards

I would have thought that was fairly obvious.
A bank statement, is simply a statement of account.
A bank letter, is a communication that the bank has sent you.

What exactly is it that Amazon have asked you for?

You ask your bank for it. It’s likely not an uncommon request and most banks will know what is required. Amazon have presumably given you more info - typically they want:

– A scanned copy of a certified bank letter for the primary contact person/beneficial owner. The document must meet all the criteria listed below:

  • Dated within the last 180 days.
  • Signed or stamped by the bank.
  • Shows the bank name or logo.
  • Shows the account holder’s name, residential address, and bank account number.
