Intellectual property complaint

I have received an intellectual property complaint.

The trademark was registered in December 2020 but the product I am selling was manufactured in 2019.

It is made by a large well known brand. Amazon were also selling the item.

How can someone register a trademark and then cause problems for items made more than 12 months before?

Anyone got any idea how to appeal this?

Maybe it was a pending registration?

How typically Amazon!

Identical appeals sent to France and Germany.

Accepted in France. Rejected in Germany.

So France said I could relist the item. I can’t get any stock over to the EU due to Brexit so I just deleted the listing.

Overnight Build International Listings relisted it with a zero quantity.

I immediately get another intellectual property complaint.

I point out to Amazon that they told me I could relist a couple of days ago but they just send an automated reply asking for plans of action and letters of authority.

It really is a shambles and a very time consuming one too.
