German Tax Declaration Mystery

Hello,

I have been trying to complete the German Tax Declaration

I don’t have any VAT obligations in Germany as I fit into this category - “If you ship goods stored in other EU countries directly to customers in Germany and all such deliveries are less than €100,000 in the current calendar year and have been less than €100,000 in the previous calendar year (according to Sec. 3c para. 3 of the German VAT Code)”

When I click on the following link - “You need to provide this declaration to Amazon if you are…”

I just get a page saying “German Tax Declaration. You have no pending actions as of now.”

My account has now been deactivated and I can’t seem to access support.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Kind Thoughts, BOTI

This was a time limited thing I think - Oct 20 - don’t think you can do it now.

Hello,

I want to know that my current German threshold is below 5k and I am selling products from Austria to Germany. Do i need German VAT or Tax certificate ? because Amazon deactivated my account due to German VAT??

I have already submitted my declaration to Amazon i am not obligated to be tax registered in Germany on Oct 2019. my current German Sale threshold is really low. My business eligible for exemption from DEVAT registration.

Best Regards

Hello,

To sell on a marketplace it is a requirement from 1st July to have a German VAT Number. If you are shipping from Austria to Germany you must have a One Stop Shop registration in place in Austria.

“The German Tax Amendment Law 2020 was enacted on December 28, 2020. It amends the existing German Joint and Several Liability legislation with effect from July 1st, 2021. Based on this, the obligation to provide a German §22f Tax certificate will be replaced by the obligation to provide a German VAT identification number in case inventory is stored in Germany or if you conduct Business-to-Consumer distance sales to German customers from inventory stored in another EU country and total distance sales within the EU exceed 10,000 EUR per year.”

If you need more help with other EU VAT obligations please feel free to get in touch

Kind Regards
