Bottomless Pitt!

I am beginning to think that Amazon thinks all its sellers have a bottomless pitt! Paying a monthly subscription, paying when we sell and the obviously switching items to lower viewings to force the had to start a campaign and paying once again per click! Anyone else found that the sales have dropped, forcing you to pay Amazon once again? Monthly sub £30.00, pay per click on a campaign and then on a sale (if you get one) Whats in it for us? Nothing, by the time all this is taken into consideration! Sales used to be excellent on here but not now!

Since you are experiencing a drop in sales, it may indicate that the products which you are selling aren’t demanded or there is already too much competition offering them for a better price.

In addition, having non-compliant images, titles or bullet points can result in your listings being suppressed from search. Amazon only recently announced that they will be enforcing their Product Title policies more strictly:

https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/headlines.html?id=5548436902472086875&ref=nslp_all_12_5548436902472086875_ttl

So I would suggest you to review your listings to ensure they are fully compliant.

But you are not alone, there are many other sellers reporting a decrease in sales as well:

We noted that switching off advertising or dramatically reducing the PPC amount had no impact on sales at all. I think it’s just another cash grab, so maybe try to reduce your spending there and see what happens. Certainly will not increase sales, but will reduce costs (which is better than nothing…)

Think about it - 10 sellers all decide that they need to increase sales. Half of them immediately fall for the click scam, and get a couple of more sales each week. The other 5 see their sales reduce (there are of course only a specific finite number of buyers out there) and immediately succumb to the same click scam.

Result - all 10 sellers are back to the exact same positon as before, only with less money in the bank.

I cannot think of 1 logical argument for the use of clicks unless the product is a new thing on the market and the public are not yet well aware of its existance.

90% of my sales come from items where I am the only seller

If I had to compete with other sellers

I wouldnt make anything on here

I beleive the pricing structure is deliberately complicated, How many sellers sell far to cheaply, because they see their buying price and the selling price that in a bricks and mortar would give you a tidy profit. But online you have the bricks and mortar plus all the little extra fees that chip heavily into your margins and there always seems to be another fee you were not aware of. Add into all that the scam sellers and your lucky if you make 10% for yourself after everyone else has had their cut,
