Unable to sell
Hi Guys,
Hope someone can help me! I want to sell 14 self published books of mine but I keep getting a SKU error code.
each time I am trying to upload my books. I have tried the help team they keep saying they don’t see a issue I have added a screenshot of the error I keep getting.
I hope someone can help resolve this!

The error message is this: There is no record of the SKU corresponding to this update on your account. This commonly occurs when there are other issues on your SKU.

Have you tried adding it manually rather than by file upload to see what error comes up
Whats the ISBN and is it registered with Nielsen ?

I don’t think I registered my ISBN number I just bought them through Nielsons as im looking you need to sign up to NIELSON Title editor.
do you think this is the issue?

I only sell second-hand books, so not relevant to me. Though I believe that Amazon do get info from Neilsons for new books and add to database - maybe @Demel might confirm ?
From your last post you need to input the ISBN where it says product ID, without hyphens.

You will have uploaded your HMRC UTR number and provided evidence of it to amazon

Are you registered with HMRC as self-employed, sole-trader, and have received your UTR ?
You do need to be to be able to sell your new books on Amazon.
When you registered for the seller account did they ask you for your UTR - if not then you may have the wrong type of account.
Individual is NOT the same as sole-trader.
Also Professional is not the same as Business - that is simply the name of one of the selling plans.

Sole trader and submitted all documents and I don’t think I would be able to get this far into adding the product if that was the issue.
I know I haven’t registered the ISBN’s on Nielsons database which sends book information to Amazon.
but people are saying that’s not the issue

What does it say under Business Information ? - it should say sole-proprietor, but only will if you have registered with HMRC and uploaded your UTR.

Can you screenshot the page once you’ve added the ISBN
Have you spoken with Nielsen ?

You may just need to wait now until the database is updated.
Did that include the letter with confirmation of your UTR ?

Yes and a video call provided all documents in order to open account, I think it may be the database issue as it’s letting my fill a lot of information.
rather than just a basic account as its not finding a match for ISBN

Do let us know how it goes… but I have to ask, 14 self published books? How does one even go about accomplishing such a feat? May I ask what those books are about?
