So tempted to respond

Someone is returning a Silver Grey Bath Mat because they wanted Dark Grey. The colour description is ‘Silver Grey’!

I really want to tell them there was a flaw in their plan. Please stop me! :zipper_mouth_face:

As you know you unfortunately have to accept the return, but the return costs are not down to you, and if they have removed the tags then hold back something from the refund to take into account the subsequent loss in value…

I know your pain. I sold a dress where the colour was described as “super pink” and the girl complained that she wanted red, and on top of it left a 1 star review which amazon would not remove. She didn’t even want to return it though when I asked, some customers are weird!

Just a quirk that we have to accept being sellers on here, the professionalism of being a seller is in not responding (or at least not in a way the cusomer would hear what we had to say)

Buyers can be trying at times, thats for sure. Just had a negative on .DE because i would not send a SAE for a return (due to size) and that i do not have a German returns address. Keep calm and carry on

" But I thought … "

" But I wanted … "

" But I was expecting … "

The perils of mummy Amazon’s infantalising the buying public and tolerating their foot stamping and dummy spitting !

I suggest you work harder at mastering telephathy.

Had something similar happen to me, and the buyer opened an A-Z claim and was given a full refund in less than an hour. Before I had even opened the laptop. Then left negative feedback, and sent a message with personal attacks that I would not send them money to return the order! an amount that was 40% more than the order total!

After which, was told by Amazon that the feedback is not in conflict of any criteria and would not be removed. Cannot understand how Amazon can take their sellers so for granted to be honest.

Once you have had a few more of these you won’t notice it … just refund and move on - don’trisk a negative product review by quibbling or being smart with the customer - false economy

Hmmmmmm I hear you, we once had someone returning a tablet because it was “too heavy”.

As a new seller I have had my first return and am really annoyed as they have returned an item the same as mine but look like they had it for a year or 2 when they only bought it 2 weeks ago, stupidly she said it wasn’t working properly , and being the believer in good service person I am once I got it back I open the box saw it had original box and packaging but didn’t physically open the lid (juicer) , so I clicked refund button and authorised refund, only to find this evening I am opening box and the item is clearly the same but is scratched and dented and very dirty inside so is likely something bought previously used and abused and now she wanted a new one. Being a new buyer I was just happy for the sale, now have lost out on product and 2 lots of postage. Will never get stung like that again…live and learn…
