I sent 100 units of a specific ASIN to Amazon, and they marked all of them as EXPIRIED as soon as they were received. I checked with the brand, and they confirmed that the products do not expire until the end of December 2027. I have been constantly opening cases to understand how Amazon marked them as expired and to request a bin check. Each time, I was told to wait until the shipment closed.
Later, I found out that Amazon lost all the units. Each unit cost $33, so I am out $3,300 for this shipment. I opened a case for reimbursement, but I have only received 50% of the amount I paid because Amazon incorrectly marked the items as expired, and then they were lost. According to their policy, they only reimburse 50% if they lose expired products. MY SOURCING COST HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR $33/UNIT.
In the past, Amazon has consistently marked units under this ASIN as expired. Whenever I asked them to perform a bin check, I was told that the products were unsellable. Each time I sent this inventory to the warehouse, they were marked as expired. However, when prompted for a bin check, the warehouse moved them back to fulfillable inventory, indicating it was an error.
