How to cancel part of the order
Hello, a buyer wants 2 items. But we only have one to send. So we dispatch one product and we want to cancel the rest of the order. What is the appropriate way to do this?

Orders can be only cancelled entirely, there is no way how to include just some items. I think that this is to avoid a situation in which buyers would be getting incomplete orders with a part of their purchased goods missing.
Did you ask the customer if they are fine with getting just one product instead of two which they ordered?
If they don’t mind, then confirm the entire order as shipped and then issue a full refund for the unavailable item.
