Wrong barcode on my product! MIXED INVENTORY! --- HELP!
So I sent in a fba shipment in for 198 units of product “sleep-potion” only for it to be checked in then disappear from my inventory.
A few days later customers buying product “hair-gel” start complaining to me that they have received “sleep-potion” instead of “hair-gel”.
The first complaint I thought must have just been a amazon warehouse mistake after the 4th in the same day I realized to my horror what must have happened. I asked the customer to send me a picture of the unit with the barcode visible and it was apparent what had happened.
My graphics designer when designing the label to the product put the wrong FNSKU on the label which was then directly applied to the bottle. The FNSKU belonged to the “hair-gel” instead of “sleep-potion” which is why it must have been checked into my “hair-gel” inventory.
The 4 customer who have complained today I told them sorry and that they should keep the “sleep-potion” as a complimentary gift and I have requested an amazon removal order to their for one proper unit of “hair-gel”.
Unfortunately I shipped 198 units of the “sleep-potion” with the fnsku of “hair-gel” on its label.
How do I remedy this problem. 4 have already been shipped out.
Unfortunately I would have thought amazon would have spotted a hiccup like this on entrance to the warehouse as I had one box with 198 units and the barcode on the units would not have scanned/ or would have scanned and shown a different product meaning that they would have mandatory applied sticker labels and sent me the bill for it. unfortunately it was missed now hairgel stock has sleep-potion units mixed in with it.
How do I go about remedying this situation.
Amazon can go and visually inspect the units and all the units that are clearly not hair-gel units they can take aside and apply the proper label onto the bottle then add back to my sleep-potion stock?
Should be easy to distinguish one has a purple label the other a blue label.
Someone please help, what should I do? Im tempted to recall all inventory then fix it up and send it back? But I have 1000 units of hairgel so 60p a unit will mean £600 hit which is too much.
Will amazon be able to help me by going to visually conduct an inspection on the units?
Thanks

In your dreams
Sorry - I realse it does seem simple but Amazon warehouses don’t work that way.
Have you made all tat inventory inactive for the present? To revent further sales of the wrong stock?

Mistakes happen, and in my experience in manufacturing, they are mostly labelling errors.
Also, you don’t seem to realise how many thousands/millions of different items are processed by amazon. You can’t expect them to be your qc.
You must immediately make the ASIN inactive to stop further sales. You must then recall ALL stock, this will include the correct and incorrect items. The cost will be 60p per unit.
Then you can rework the goods and resend them to amazon.
It’s an expensive mistake but will probably make you be more vigilant in the future.

Go to listing to create removal order, this is the only way to remove active fba inventory. This is an expensive option but the only one.
