Customer returns tracking location?
Hi All
It feels a bit early for buyers remorse (we certainly expect it after xmas) but we are receiving a lot of returns. Finding it hard to keep track of them as customers often dont include the paperwork inside.
Is there any tracking available to see which tracking details match those of the customer?
We can not see any info under managed returns.
Thank you kindly

The return authorisation should have the tracking number on it. Once returned, if no paperwork included, you can use the tracking number on the parcel to match up the order

Its a pain in the neck when customers do this.
You could consider changing your return instructions ask the customer to include the return authorisation slip or an order number in the parcel. Whether they will follow it is another thing.
Do you include a packing slip with your items? I find that the majority of returns I get come back with the packing slip in them.

It is a good idea to have an Excel Spreadsheet with headings.
As soon as a RMA is issued log the details, so when the item is received back, you can track by name, order number, RMA number and parcel tracking number, also item make/model and serial number if you log them.
That way easily located and you also know how many items are being received back, as you can easily see a certain product is always faulty for example, etc.
Also, for us Amz keep issuing useless Hermes labels, how have you managed to get RM, or none at all, you are very lucky!
If none, you are supposed to still authorise the RMA within 24 hours, as we have to eg Hazmat items?
