Just received this email. Everything looks genuine, hover over the links and it says seller central. I am not clicking on anything but i also haven’t heard anything else in seller central about this.
Scam emails are usually very easy to spot but this seems genuine. Anyone else received this and have an idea why? Things are still selling so i am thinking it’s a mistake but don’t want to be stopped from selling at this time of year for a bot error or something.
I have been selling on here for about 9 years without a single problem so don’t have any experience of fixing account problems.
Cheers for any help.

did the email go to junk ?is there anything in performance notifications usually if the email isnt in performance notifications its a scam there are a lot of these doing the rounds we havent had this one but have had similar and they always go to our junk folder
That is probably spoofed email. You could try to check in headers who sent this email.
Google it how to do it if you are interested. Its not very hard. Then you can compare with orginal amazon email if you have any.
I also had this email - I can confirm it is genuinely from Amazon. I had a case open about this and spoke to someone fairly knowledgeable late last week about it. I sell UK FBA only, and last year had my DE account suspended due to lack of tax certificate uploaded (was triggered when one unit of a 9p product found its way to a German FC - but that’s another story). This email was triggered because that account was suspended and I have stranded inventory in the UK - this is the only reason I was given and was told not to worry, and just deal with the stranded units.
Is it showing in your performance notification, if yes then its genuine, otherwise, call Amazon or email them about it.
Thanks
We received the same message a few days ago, and as there were no performance notifications showing in Seller Central opened a case to query and was told it was sent by their system automatically and to just ignore it.
I believe the trigger was an inbound FBA shipment that, due to backlogs at the moment, went into stranded inventory for a few days before it was checked into stock. My guess was that they scan the FBA shipment barcode on receipt into the warehouse, which starts the inbound process, but if it is not actually processed within a short period then their system puts the stock into stranded inventory until it is scanned out of the shipping boxes.
I personally do not think you should worry if the account status looks good. I received several fraudulent emails saying that our account has been suspended. If you use webmail, such as Gmail or Yahoo, check the sender’s domain by hove over the email address if its not Amazon, then you know its a scam.
I had this exact email last week, when i click on the address seems to be a genuine Amazon email that has sent previous emails to me regarding FBA.
I contacted seller support who checked my account and there were no performance issues they could see. Usually a copy of the email would be on my account for them to see. They asked me to email it to the spoof email address as they believed it wasn’t real.
However I think it is a genuine email but sent in error to me as the previous emails from this address relate to actual FBA issues I have had.
I’ve had the same email and it’s real since all my products have been removed for some reason since I ignored it…
