Selling under private label
I have recently obtained my sole proprietor status and registered my brand with IPO.
As I begin my journey in the world of women’s clothing. Few questions I have -
- Do I need to get GSTIN number .
- I have not printed my brand name directly onto the plastic cover; instead, I have applied a white sticker with my brand name on it.
3.Would you be kind enough to share any useful tips that I could consider while creating my first private label listing?
Thanks

This seems to be a number given out to Indian residents. I don’t think anyone here will be able to tell you the answer to this. Almost certainly you will need to take advice on this from your accountant.
You may have trouble with Amazon accepting this. They do say that the brand should be permanently affixed to the product or packaging. If you are asked for pictures of your product through Brand Registry approval this might be problematic.
If you are selling clothing have you looked into what the mandatory labelling requirements are for the UK. For example from the gov.uk website
Labelling requirements
The label must show the fibre content, including fur and other animal parts.
If a product consists of 2 or more components with different fibre contents, the content of each must be shown.
Find out more about labelling requirements on the Business Companion website.

Hey @A.Z_Fashion_Hub,
@Smiley_Guy has provided nothing but great advice here!
I have attached some links to our help pages that may answer your question in regards to brand name viability, Amazon Brand Registry,
Note: The brand name of your trademark must be clearly visible and permanently affixed to your products or packaging.
I will also add a link to the topic of ‘brands’ on our Seller University page, please click here.
Hope this helps!
