Dummy asin, is it new listing or similar asin
so i sent some packs of books into fba under a listing, they are saying the manufactures barcode doesn’t scan with any of their items, so i’ve asked to recall them… they sent this message…
“I would request you to please provide us the dummy ASIN under which we can receive these products as unsellable and then you can create the Removal order for these units.”
what does this mean?

How did you list them in your inventory? Using the manufacturer barcode?

Were these new books ?
Presumably they would have had an ISBN, so surely that is what the listing should have been created with ?

Have they gone into stranded inventory?

Have these come from a proper UK supplier if the isbn and the manufacturer barcodes both don’t match each other or the listings?

Does yours have a metal fastening ike the listing? And is it autumn publishing?
To create a dummy isbn you’d most likely need permission from marvel as it’s their brand on it

what are you going to do when Amazon want to see your supply chain? You know they wont accept retail receipts right?

Aside from all the other issues, spending £5 to sell something FBA for £14/£15 seems like a good deal until you consider the fees and that the price will likely drop - as it already has started to. The fees alone take the reward down to £3.30 before even adding VAT, cost of sending to FBA, storage etc.
