Customer complaint about the item we send a replacement!
Hi need a bit of help here customer complaint that the product is not right we send a replacement and did not ask to return the old one back after receiving the replacement they had the same complaint and want to return for a refund I requested to send both the items back the original order and the replacement now they say that they cannot send the original one back as their daughter has gifted that to someone and will send the other one back so I am still loosing on 1 unit if they had complaint about the item why would they gift it to someone can you help on what am I suppose to do here !!!

To be honest as you were “happy” to send them a replacement without asking for the other one to be returned I’m not sure much has materially changed.
I expect others will disagree.

Why did you send a replacement without asking them to return the original ? - that’s the first mistake you made.
You should have advised them to open a return request.

My personal opinion on Amazon is never to send a replacement. Amazon systems just don’t support this and no way to prove this has been done if you get a complaint or an A-Z.
It is always better to refund the customer and get them to order another one. How you refund is up to you, it is in your rights to ask for them to return the item and refund or just refund without returning the item.
All you can do now is get them to open a return request and send one item back to you.

have done a bit of charity here refunded the customer and asked them to keep the item too the little kid will be happy
