Have Sales Dropped For Anyone Else?

My sales have dropped all of a sudden and have been slow for a week now, is this normal coming up to PRIME day or do you think there is something else wrong I need to look into?

Just thought I would ask how everyone else is doing, before I look into it further.

Yes, my sales are down around 60%! Have been this way since the World Cup started.

Not sure if it was a good or bad thing, sales-wise, that England lost. I do not think we will see much of a rise until the World Cup is over.

Also, the weather has not helped. People have been out in the sun, enjoying themselves, rather than in buying things.

I am sure things will pick up soon.

Sales have been awful for us for months (We’re FBA and FBM - but we’re winding down our FBA)

Putting my tinfoil hat on, we noticed that we’re now at a place where we can’t (not matter what we do) sell more than £500 a week - something that about 6 months ago was something we’d never dipped under in years of selling on here.

The thing is Amazon used to outsell eBay about 3:1… for the last few months eBay is outselling Amazon 6:1.

Even Etsy is better than Amazon for us.

We’ve tried advertising (makes no difference); free postage (we notice we actually sell more when we add postage) and lowering prices (it seems to make not difference - in fact this month we raised the price of quite a few items and seem to have sold more than usual (which is still pretty poor).

What sales we get seem to come in clusters within 15 mins we’ll sell 3 or 4 items and then have hours of slience. eBay is constantly selling throughout the day, Amazon seems to be that most people buy from us at 4am ???

Our sales are growing so quickly we’ve suspended eBay to deal with our Amazon success.

FBA for all our lines now. Works well

I sell England flags and souvenirs so my sales have plummeted. Though I have sold a couple of flags and some England paper plates since we lost so all is not lost yet. lol

It only took 1 minute after the end of the match before I got a message… “Do you do refunds?” I suggested they use the flag to get behind the England for the 3rd/4th place play off on Saturday.

Same here- sales have plummeted this week from an average of £100 a day to under £20- World Cup didn’t seem to affect it for first few weeks just feels like a tap has been turned off!

Sales are virtually dead.

Everything you do on this platform is a cost which in turns eats into the margins.
