As a reminder, under section 8 of the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement, you must obtain and maintain commercial liability insurance within 30 days after your gross proceeds from your transactions exceed the following applicable insurance threshold during any month (or if otherwise requested by Amazon) and add Amazon as additional insured:
Five thousand Euros (€5,000) (if the Amazon Site is the DE Amazon Site, the FR Amazon Site, the IT Amazon Site, the ES Amazon Site, the BE Amazon Site or the NL Amazon Site),
Four thousand British Pounds (£4,000) (if the Amazon Site is the UK Amazon Site),
Fifty thousand Swedish Krona (kr 50,000) (if the Amazon Site is the SE Amazon Site),
Twenty-two thousand five hundred Polish Złoty (PLN 22,500) (if the Amazon Site is the PL Amazon Site).
If you already have a valid commercial liability insurance policy that you bought in the US and you sell in the EU or UK stores, be sure to check with your insurance provider to verify that your policy covers claims made in the EU and the UK.
When you obtain coverage for the products you sell, make sure that your policy fulfills our insurance policy requirements. For more information, go to Commercial Liability Insurance Policy.

Received the same email, wondering if somebody can suggest insurance company for FBA sellers.
just to add the really important bit
" and add Amazon as additional insured"
so more than just a normal liability insurance policy.
And for those of us with retail stores that have a "shop-policy" - the liability insurance part of the normal shop policies does not cover the fba sales
Where to submit the insurance policy? Or don't need to do this? Enough only to have?
We received the same email form Amazon.
We are small business and sell cosmetic products and exceeds 5000 euro limit in each country.
Do i need to make insurance ? If yes, where to make this insurance ?
It`s more and more complicated.
Also got the email.
It says:
"If you need a new commercial liability insurance policy, we’ve identified insurance broker that can help you secure liability insurance. To contact them, go to

"
Received the email also, we have a policy already in place for the USA which covers worldwide however there is no place to upload it on the UK site. According to the help page there should be a link under Account Info but there is none.... how typical is this of Amazon UK send an email then fix the site later (or never)
Hi,
I have had the email today and while I do exceed the threshold they mention of £4K a month, I don't sell anything dangerous in any way shape or form so why do I need liability insurance? This is completely new to me and I also query the 'reminder' as this is the first I have heard of it. Do we need to get this? I am a UK seller selling only into the UK.
Could one of the moderators kindly shed some light on this please?

Is this absolutely something that is required to sell on Amazon and if you do not have it before a certain date, your account could be suspended?
Hi. Have you found an answer yet? Would like to know what this insurance covers if so. Seems like Amazon just offloading responsibility.
