Buyer moved address
Can anyone advise next steps please. Trying to be courteous in my replies but am now at my wits end. Can anybody tell me how to make this go away.
I sold on item on 1st December and dispatched this on 2 December. Buyer messaged me on 4 December to say they were moving the next day. I replied stating that the package had been dispatched on 2 December and it was too late to change delivery address.
They came back to me on 15 December stating item not received, I checked tracking and package showed as delivered on 8 December. Gave them tracking number and thought that was it.
31 December another message from buyer they want a refund. Replied again stating tracking showed package delivered. Several messages later and buyer still want a refund.
I advised I would accept refund if they returned product, again still saying item not received so I advised RM would have GPS tracking of where package was left and to check with other members of household who may have taken receipt of package and to also confirm they had provided the correct address for delivery.
They have came back to me to say they have moved!!! Obviously they moved house between ordering and package arriving. I will not refund for product I sent out. Advised buyer of their responsibility to ensure they had provided correct delivery address when purchased and my responsibility to ensure package is dispatched and delivered timeously.
Can I stop responding to buyers messages now as this is getting silly going back and forward? Is it ok to mark the message as no response needed as I dont know what else to say to buyer. They would have been aware of dispatch and delivery times when they ordered so not my fault they moved between these times.

Yes, but be prepared for an A-Z claim, if the buyer is that stupid that they expect you know they were about to move house or to have ordered something just before they moved. You’d think they have more things to do than buy stuff at the last minute

Suggest they return to their old address and collect it !
Also, most people who move have their mail forwarded on, or arrange to collect it.
The cynic in me is thinking this could be a scam.
Why not try asking them if they are having their mail forwarded ?

It’s against Amazon policy to have the order delivered to alternative address. You can inform the buyer the order can no longer be changed and they should make provisions for delivery. If the order is dispatched using a tracked service maybe it will be returned back to you in a few weeks subject to the new recipients returning the order.

The reporting tool has changed again.

Thanks for all your input. I sent my last reply last night so hoping I dont hear anything else from them. The item is showing as delivered so it has been received by someone so chances of it being returned to me I would see as very slim.
