Listing limitations apply on ungated category

Hi there,

I have been trying to list a new product in a Toys subcategory and it went through at first but then it was suppressed and when i am trying to fix this it tell me I need to request approval to sell sub category Toys.
From what I have been reading Toys are not a gated category this time of year. (Only Nov-Jan)
I have been asked to provide a lot documentation of the product which I do not have yet as the product is still being manufactured by the supplier in China.
Is there anyway I can get this sorted before I actually have the final product? I do not want to risk to order a big stock that I won’t be able to sell after.
Thank you

More and more items in Toys category are being restricted by Amazon - you will have to supply the documentation they ask for to get approval. Basically there is a current theory that Amz would like to restrict Toys just for themselves with the closure of ToysRUs.

I sell mostly toys and I did notice that some products are now showing “Listing limitations apply”, however, I get ungated in every category as soon as I click on the “Request approval” button. It says that they approved me immediately because of my performance history.

If they are asking you for invoices, it indicates that you are a new seller and you will be required to go through the standard approval process which requires lots of documents. You will need to provide them valid invoices from established brands or suppliers in the EU or USA. Chinese invoices are not accepted by Amazon.

They want to verify that you are selling authentic quality items which comply with EU standards. I would advise you to avoid investing your money into items from China, which you are not even approved to sell.
