Stranded inventory issue confusing my FBA stock with FBM stock. Why is Amazon so frustratingly unable to fix simple issues? Mods please advise.
I have sent in THOUSANDS of these units to FBA without a problem.... and I usually keep vacation mode on so I don't get FBM orders. I prefer to push it all through FBA for a number of reasons.
BUT, we recently had a big surge in sales from some outside video that someone posted. So, this depletes our FBA inventory and we turn off vacation mode so that we can directly fill orders where stock is too low for FBA.
However, since turning off vacation mode, we have gotten stranded inventory on one ASIN.... and the labels on that item have a barcode with the FNSKU on it, which is ONLY for FBA in the first place.
Amazon's only solution is that I must convert my FBM listing to FBA..... and then created a new FBM listing (I would have two FBA listings for the same ASIN, also). This seems to be about the stupidest solution I can imagine.
You know what should work? Reprocess the "stranded" items.... scan them in again and they should go into my FBA stock just like the THOUSANDS before it. Why. Is. This. So. Hard?
This is clearly an error on Amazon's end. Also, why in the heck would I send FBM stock into FBA in the first place?
Oh, and I support said I need to convert it because I need to complete the hazmat info.... which is just them asking if my items contain batteries.
FYI, when this issue first came up, I did convert to FBA because I thought it would only pertain to the stranded units.... but it changed my whole FBM listing so people couldn't order the product at all since FBA stock was sold out.
For any mods who are reading this, the case ID is 17109285871, the FNSKU is X003PCCOG9, and the ASIN is B00KY3WI9Y
