Amazon & Royal Mail returns
“Dear Seller, We would like to inform you of a rate change with Royal Mail returns, under 2kg, applicable from 10th April 2019. The rate will increase from £2.54 to £2.59 (excl. VAT). This increase is due to the Royal Mail annual tariff update. No action is required from you, the rates will update automatically from 10th March 2019. Kind Regards, The Amazon Seller Services Team”
What’s that all about?
I send with sticky stamps and if no one there they return it to me.
Is this some other kind of thing that has nout to do with me?

Just received this email and wondering the same ???.
My orders are self fulfilled and I provide unpaid mailing labels. I assume it must be something to do with those using the Fulfilled By Amazon system?.

Just received this as well and a bit perplexed as I’m FBM and provide unpaid labels via Amazon for returns.

well, it says the price is increasing, so I would think if you dont get charged already, it’s not relevant. Probably went out to everyone by mistake

On Seller Fulfilled Prime, Buyers can return either unwanted items or faulty ones using a pre-paid Royal Mail Tracked service, it covers many small items and Amazon automatically send with the RMA to Buyers
If they are used, then charged. You can pass on the cost to the Buyer, deducted from refund for Buyer Remorse (unwanted items)

This is when you want to return an item, you don’t want to keep, if you opted for the Royal Mail return option the price has gone up etc:

I’m more concerned about the parcels royal mail loose, forget to leave missed calling cards and generally keep sellers in the dark.

It is for fba orders when free returns are offered as standard, ie clothing, that’s the price you pay for your customer to return

Not sfp myself but I assume it follows the usual top menu, Reports, tax document library then request what you need. Not everything is net of vat, ie advertising listings, you’ve gotta be careful as things often change and its not always obvious
If not do you pay a courier separatel, never used sfp so its a stab in the dark

I’ve no idea either. But could it just possibly be that if a buyer returns an item without any postage, this is what Royal Mail charges you, the seller, when returning it to you?
