Amazon declining my sale of sweets UK
Hi
Looking for a bit of help and advice - I’m trying to get accreditation for selling sweets in “Grocery”
These are my first Amazon items, I have no sale history with them.
I’ve setup correctly with LTD company and bank account
I am buying from manufacturers
These are new items not currently listed on Amazon
I’ve supplied all documents requested
I’ve been declined… I even spent 5 days with seller service taking there comments and advice on board and amended areas they asked me to look at.
The day before being declined they asked me to purchase a further 10 units of each item I want to supply as my original invoicing was spread over 2 - this had a cost of £189.00 as I was so sure everything was going to be ok, coms had been good and I’d listened to what they recommended I adjust each step of the way.
To then be declined and without reason - and I don’t seem able to get answers.
Anyone got any advice on how I can get this idea off the ground?
Thanks

We’ve experienced this in the past at times. It’s likely an automated decline, due to some issue they “think” there is with your invoices/supply chain.
My first task would be to go on support chat and ask them if they can see a SPECIFIC reason for the decline. This “might” turn up something.
However if not, I would also try emailing seller performance and there is an email specifically for getting new products authorised but I can’t find it, perhaps someone else has that.

I would guess a couple of things
-
sometimes with gated items you need a selling history before amazon will allow you to sell in that sector. I believe groceries is a difficult one to get approval for,
-
although you are buying from the manufacturers are you sure you are buying “as trade” and not just retail and only have receipts as opposed to proper invoices and are you invoices showing proper details such as suppliers details, your details and they are all correct.

Has it got things like the website / email address / vat number of the supplier on?
Are they a supplier who only sells strictly to trade?
