Product listing
I have tried to add a product listing and i kept getting the error code 5666. I emailed seller support and got this message.
I understand that you are getting error code 5666 when adding a product.
Please note Amazon prohibit new ASIN creation of the brand on Amazon because brand name has been used to sell products that infringe on the intellectual property of others.
You can only list this if you are the brand owner , and dispute to dispute the block of new ASIN creation on Amazon, please write to the Amazon legal department at the address below. Please reference Error 5666 as the subject line of your correspondence. Amazon.com Legal Department P.O. Box 81226 Seattle, WA 98108.
Im still confused on what this email indicates.
How do you create a new Asin, i have been struggling for weeks, will appreciate if someone can give me more information

As seller support have said you can’t list the product you want to because only the brand owner can list it.
Do you have authority from the brand owner to list their products? The only possible way you will be able to list these products is to get their authority.

It looks to me like the brand owner has blocked new ASINs for being created, and if you want unblocked you need to write to the legal department (presumably with proof that you are the Brand Owner)
So the big question here is… what brand are you trying to list?

yep - exactly as Smiley says - amazon are saying that the brand is not allowed to be sold on here except for by the brand owners

First of all, do you have a Business Seller Account and are registered with HMRC as either sole-trader, partnership or limited company ?
If you have bought items to sell on ,then you must have both the above, you cannot sell new items with the Individual Seller Account.
If these are branded products then, as said, you need permission from the brand owner.
Did you buy these from a retail store/shop, or manufacturer ?
Sorry for all the questions but there are a lot of possible pitfalls with selling on Amazon if you do not understand all their policies.
