Not seeing books listed on main site
I have just started listing again as a private seller (I’m not a business, I’m just caring some shelves). I notice that the books I have listed don’t appear to be appearing on the Amazon main site. Can anyone tell me why ?
I’ve tried the ‘Help’ page, but am not really sure what an ASIN number is, so can’t follow that up.

I would imagine that they are there, but you don’t have the buy box.
On the listing, there should be a button for “other sellers”
If you click that, you should be able to find it.
ASIN is on the listing itself somewhere towards the bottom and if you look in your inventory page, the ASIN number is listed there as well.

ASIN is Amazon’s Standard Identification Number, which they create when the item doesn’t have a trade number such as EAN (European Article Number - the barcode that you’ll now find on most products) or, for books ISBN
How did you list the books? Did you create the details from scratch? That’s not a good idea - most titles will already be on Amazon and you are just creating an unnecessary duplicate, which will be hard for buyers to find. For books, it’s normally best to search on the existing catalogue for the ISBN and then add your offer to that listing

You say that you have just started listing again. I’m not certain but if your account has been inactive for some time then perhaps Amazon need to verify some of your details again before your offers are made active?
Do have examples of books that you have listed but are not showing?

Have now found the ‘more details’ tab thanks to a Google search. Its hidden away as suspected

When looking at your listings from your inventory page what does the “Status” column say? Active? Inactive?

I understand perfectly thank you. As you said yourself there are two ways of doing this.
My listings are ‘active’ and I have email confirmation and a link.
