EAN codes exist already on Amazon

Hello to all…

I am trying to list my first product.
I have bought 10 barcodes from GS1, however, when I am trying to use it, it shows me that the barcodes belong to different listing what is completely different from my product.
I am not able to create my listing.
I have tried all of my 10 barcodes and all of them are used by the same seller. The seller isn’t active, at the moment. No sales.
I have contact GS1 also but they are asking to talk to Amazon.
Any advice, please…?
I would appreciate any suggestions…
Thank you

We had a similar issue, unfortunately some other sellers may sometimes just use barcode generators etc and list things without actually owning the barcodes.

To resolve it you need to open a case with seller support, and attach to it your GS1 barcode license (you can find it within your GS1 account) which shows you own that series of barcodes, and also upload images of the products with the barcodes on to prove they belong to that product and not the ones already listed.

If you have problems still after this if you speak to GS1 they will also just assign a new barcode range to you if it helps (if you’ve just started with GS1 barcodes it might be an option, but if your products are already packaged and barcoded it probably will be an issue so stick with getting amazon to fix it)

Hello Mike123
thank you for your reply.

Yes, we do have that barcode on the box… that’s the challenge.
I did send the license 4 times, even attached the email from GS1 that says clearly who is the owner of these barcodes. Pictures of the product with the barcode on it, screenshots… etc,
It is taking weeks and I feel sometimes that every single new person in SCsupport is not reading previous emails… as they asking me the same questions and asking for the same things to be sent.
And I keep sending :smile::crazy_face::zipper_mouth_face:

have a great day!
I will be posting updates
