Seller Fulfilled Prime - Your Experiences!

As the title says, what are your experiences of SFP, good and bad.

Do you still need to operate on a weekend day also?

Did you find a large uplift in sales?

Do you prefer it to regular FBA?

Merry Christmas all!

It works if you choose your products well.
It tends to fit the oddities, rather than using it for things that will work well with standard FBA.
So for example, it enables you to avoid the storage fees, by using SFP for slower selling items and will give a boost to them.

But if standard FBA works for said product, there are no real advantages to it, in my view anyway.

Yes you need to work at least one day at weekends - but there is a workaround. I switch the Shipping Template on a friday morning to my standard delivery template and switch back saturday afternoon so I do not have to work weekends. I could not get a RM collection at weekends anyway.

Sometimes I get an uplift - sometimes I do not. Too many variables - price compared to others, Buy Box win, etc. Difficult to say if uplift due to Prime badge or other factors. All you can do is try on items and see.

I tried FBA - for a year or so it was ok. Then I had a lot of stock that would not shift due to too many others reducing prices so it was impossible to compete or, in other cases, my supplier either supplying Amazon direct or doing their own FBA. The ongoing storage costs for slow moving stock was making situation worse. So I withdrew from FBA completely and now do a mix of standard shipping and SFP.
