Amazon applied Promotional Discount on an item WITHOUT A DISCOUNT
An order has come through for a low priced item £1.79. Except Amazon have a applied a promotional discount
“Promotional discount id Amazon PLCC Free-Financing Universal Merchant-d9b3fdde0c654f21808dc0237fceec0e”
of £1.30.
so I have to post an item that cost me 25p plus VAT and will cost me RM LL postage for a grand sum of 49p
I will post the item as it’s to a regular customer, and I’ve logged a call with SS, but I’m not holding my breath.
Check your orders - I don’t believe Amazon will have singled me out for this latest “feature”. I’m just grateful it wasn’t for a much more expensive item.

I’ve had a case open with Amazon for over a week for something similar.
Customer given a 50% promotional discount which basically means we lose money.
I’m sure they’re give us the refund/rebate but we have no idea what the discount was for!

That’s why I’m glad I’ve found this forum… When I was reading about selling on Amazon, I did not find any information about such practise. They can make a promotion without seller approval?? or am I reading this wrong?

Since the promotion was offered and applied by Amazon, they should automatically reimburse you.
