Product Authenticity Complaint Invoice OR Receipt
Hello,
I'm posting here as a last resort, as I'm out of ideas on how to resolve this issue.
I've spoken to my account representative on this issue & followed the advise given. When submitting an appeal for this product it states to provide an Invoice OR Receipt/s.
For this product we have receipts that total roughly 2000 units for the past 365 days. This is our #1 seller and this month we got hit with a product authenticity complaint.
I have attached all receipts, highlighted the receipts with the store, address & contact number. I've also highlighted the last 4 digits used for the business card & included a picture of my card with the company name that matches on my sellers account.
I've spoken with the store manager and they said if Amazon did happen to call to verify authenticity & receipts they would be able to if given the phone number attached to the account.
I've done all this & have hit a wall in terms of appealing this complaint. This is what was advised by our rep due to the fact receipts typically lack actual information the Appeal Team look for.

Amazon does indeed state in some places that a receipt will work; an in some situations, it does.
But if this is truly an authenticity complaint, it may not be enough. A retail receipt does not really show a valid supply chain. You really should have proper invoices, and depending on the brand, authorization FROM THE BRAND to sell on Amazon.
What brand were you selling? Many are starting to crack down on unauthorized Amazon sellers.

In addition to the correct information from
@Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrwwhat you say here is meaningless --
"I've spoken with the store manager and they said if Amazon did happen to call to verify authenticity & receipts they would be able to if given the phone number attached to the account."
Just because a STORE is authorized to sell a product does NOT give them any authorization or ability to do a 'pass through' of that authorization to anyone else.
You bought at the retail level and if you sold as NEW that is an additional violation of Amazon policy -- and retail rules just about everywhere.
Receipts are NOT invoices.
While Amazon does, in fact, say in some old , obsolete, areas of their policies that receipts can be SUBMITTED, that does not mean they will be accepted. In fact, for the past 2+years I have warned on the Forum that it is, in fact, a TRAP!
By submitting a receipt you have proven to Amazon that you have NOT sourced properly and have furnished the rope they need to hang your account out to dry.
Rule 1. An LOA from the brand authorizing you to sell ON AMAZON
Rule 2. Invoices from AUTHORIZED wholesale distributors.
Rule 3. IGNORE everything you learned on YouTube and TikTok.

Hello @Seller_e9vo3uzBPc1U5- thanks for surfacing this issue here on the seller forums.
I appreciate the other sellers in the thread already for sharing some insight. I wanted to also share some potentially helpful resources like this Seller University video detailing the Authenticity Policy, this page which details our Supply Chain Standards, this guidance on sourcing documentation, and these best practices for product quality and authenticity.
Were you able to get the listings reinstated at all in the days following this post?
Thanks for letting me know!
